Mariental, NA | Veteran Homes on Modulo Foundations

Modulo is Geoplast's solution for ventilated raft foundations. Manufactured in 100% recycled polypropylene, the permanent formwork creates a crawl space that separates the structure from the natural ground, with excellent studied behaviour on difficult soil, such as expansive clay. The formwork covers a height range from 30 to 700 mm, catering for a wide range of needs.

Modulo+Geoplast foundations

These innovative advantages made Modulo height 25 the preferred choice to build three Veteran Homes of 121 m² each, in Mariental, Namibia. Clay predominance in the area has had reduced previous structures to crumbles, and the Namibian Government had been looking for a solution for long.

Modulo protects the ground floor slab from the clay pushing upward, ensuring an insulated, durable, healthy and crack-free structure.
