HOUT BAY | ROYAL AVENUE
Cobute is proud to be working alongside some of the most forwarding architecture and engineer practices in Cape Town on this residential project in Hout Bay.
Royal Avenue is a high-end project consisting of a three storey apartment block, located in Hout Bay, by the Atlantic Ocean with pristine views of the Table Mountain National Park. Developed by K2017182438, it has been designed by Darryl Croome Architects, with Bergstan Engineers, alongside Ugo Rivera as the Structural Engineer appointed for the Cobute precast elements for slab and staircase.

Cobute supplied the site with its patented slab system (interlocking rib and panels) for the three slab floors, for a total of 900 sqm. The decking was moreover used for the suspended ground floor over the basement. Royal Avenue will also feature 7 stairs manufactured using the Cobute patented system, with installation starting next week.
Bridging design with Site Work
Royal Avenue re-confirmed Cobute's commitment to translating and complementing the architect's vision with precast elements that facilitate site work. In fact, Cobute manufactured stepped ribs to create a 50mm recess for the walk-in showers, complementing the architect's design while easing the plumbing and carpentry work.
Royal Avenue is close to completion.
