Atlantic Estate | Residential Dwelling
Cobute has worked with Loxton Group Property Development on one of their recent residential projects in Atlantic Beach Estate, in Melkbosstrand. The residential structures in the Estate have been carefully designed to blend unobtrusively with the indigenous fynbos and rolling sand dunes of the surrounding beaches. All of this is topped by a magnificent view of Table Mountain as backdrop.
The project, which is very close to completion, made use of the integrated Cobute precast shutters for stairs, beams and decking.
When laying out the ribs and panels, Loxton Group opted for a mix of plain and perforated precast panels, to assist with the installation of electrical services. The galvanized boxes are cast with the panels, saving precious time on site.
The light weight of the shutters as well as the monolithic connections between the the systems became a critical factor for a sound and long lasting structure. The success of the project was crowned by a very happy customer.
