Cobute is thrilled to be adding value to two of the residential units built by Dunedin Construction at Aan de Weber, a sought after 5,4 hectares development, located off the R44. The units were designed to ensure ample private space and enjoy the breathtaking views of the Stellenbosch and Helderberg mountains.
Cobute designed and supplied its unique precast slab system for two 130 sqm units for the first-floor decking and roof slab. To ease electrical installations, special panels were supplied for recessed lights.
The precast system designed by Cobute makes use of polystyrene voids to ensure great variation in slab thickness without an increase of concrete needed, which in turn ensures the light weight of the slab and therefore the structure. Moreover, polystyrene ensures thermal and acoustic insulation, as well as easy distribution of services.
Duniden Construction has been using the Cobute precast system since its early days in 1994 and we're delighted to be contributing to sound structure in this stunning and secure residential development.
